Philadelphia Highboy
The Philadelphia Highboy in Black Walnut was the most challenging project that I have ever done. I started in September 2013 and finished in September 2015 with a total of 229 hours. There are 72 hand cut mortise and tenon joints, 46 dovetail joints containing 256 pins. It weighs in at 310 pounds and stands 83 inches tall. The drawer fronts are made from crotch grain from a tree that I cut in 2012.
